It sucks. At least that is my opinion of it. I think Alt is an awful teacher, I struggle to understand the subject matter much more than I should have to, because he FREQUENTLY makes mistakes, and confuddles the shit out of me......
EDIT:: Oh and if you don't know ANYTHING about the class, it is Circuits for nonbelievers.

I loathed this class. Most of the homework problems come from old exams, which sounds nice, until you realize that he messes up the solutions to said old exams about half the time.....

Out of all my teachers here, I'd say Alt is in the top 3 for most lazy. We'd typically get our tests 2-4 weeks after we took them. Most the time he sits at the front of the class trying to figure out how to use the projector...except the times he tries to walk to the front row to hand out an attendance sheet, which either disappeared by the end of class or by the time it got to the back of the room every name was checked off anyways. It is a pretty easy class though...just make homeworks a group effort.
Alt's laziness could make that class quite difficult. I had Alt for Circuits II, and he makes loads of mistakes. A competent EE should be able to find the mistakes in the old tests. Your ability to grasp sign changes will probably be the biggest hurdle.
Just be glad that some particular other EE lecturers or professors are not teaching that course that do teach Circuits I and II for ECE majors.
