This morning at about 5:40 AM the fire alarms in RC1 went off. Word in the hallways was that someone on the third floor burnt something on purpose. Also though, one of my suitemates was awake and saw a police car with his lights on pull up to the loading bay and then get out about 5 minutes BEFORE the alarm went off. That seems like kind of a strange coincidence to me.

Anyone know anything more?

Baby Jesus did it... If a cop showed up before the alarms it was for something else. It is possible they got a call of some mayhem that ended up escalating but who knows.

I'd give sarcasm away for free since neither of you seem to be anywhere near the truth but I'm just too tired.

TJ had a power outage this morning. Apparently they sent out an e-mail saying it was due to the ice storm and asked faculty to be understanding and they were doing their very best to wake up students. I'm blaming the construction crews. 8)

9x = 9 (since x = 0.999...)
x = 1 = 0.99999

Hmmm... you say the police showed up just before the fire? Must have been the ATF. Did they stomp any cats or shoot any dogs?

99% sure it was construction. Someone on my floor heard them messing with electricity before it went out.

Yeah, I am sure Travis really enjoyed waking everybody up this morning, he didn't sound very enthused at 8 AM this morning having to knock on everybody's door and get them up.

RC2 hasn't had much of any problems as of late :) That really sucks that the fire alarm got pulled during dead week...

I think the power loss in TJ was legit. I live above the generators, and those beasts were kickin when the power went out. Usually if construction rapes our power the generators won't go on.

And I want to say that they need to fix the flash floods in TJ lobby.... its been 2 years, enough with the buckets and trash bags over the ATM.
