they just found the theoretical smallest amount of time for a quantum computer to do a single operation.. I can agree that eventually we will run into the laws of physics... and I think Moore's law has always been doomed, the 20 years date isn't too far off... Shit, even right now we've hit a wall w/ clock speeds on air cooling.. until some new material is found I don't see them increasing that much...

that said, who's to say that in 75 years there won't be a completely new type of processor that does something like pipelining (speeds up processing w/o increasing clock) did back in the day...

people who make these gloom and doom statements obviously don't have enough faith in human ingenuity.
