Does anyone know how to get the AIM 6.9 to work? I had the older version and it works fine but when trying to upgrade to the newest version I get a connection lost error. I tried all the trouble shoots on the AIM Help website and had no luck. Any help will be great.

dont use AIM. trillian or pidgin are good alternative choices

EDIT: or if you really want to use AIM get AIM classic

You can use the new AIM if you change the port # back to 5190 in the connection settings.

(Currently using AIM 6.8.12.4)

I always had the same problem last year, no matter if at home or at school. I switched to Pidgin.
