So I was wondering (because I visited a friend at UMSL this weekend) - is there some way for us to get access to WiFi at other University of Missouri Schools using our S&T ID's (the 6-character email address) for when we are guests on sister campuses?

I went to Mizzou and logged in at one of the libraries. I just changed UMC-USERS to MST-USERS under the domain menu when logging in. There has to be some easy way to do it because so many administrators travel from campus to campus that it would be pointless to block access. Maybe just registering your wireless card in Rolla will set you up at the other campus, although there might be a little more to it than that.

I use my laptop & ipod touch on the wireless network at Mizzou. You just do everything like you would here, but it's something like tigernet. You can log into their computers too, just switch the domain as was mentioned above.
UMKC has a very anal, backwards internet policy so I have a feeling it wouldn't work there... when I stayed there a few summers back, you HAD to install their antivirus and monitoring tools or you could not be on their network.

You need to run an app that checks to make sure you have AV and are patched
This can be worked around... they don't enforce it for linux, and maybe not for mac. I think they detect what you are on through your useragent or something. I found a guide online, but it was too late as I'd already installed their crapware.

You don't need to register your mac address at Mizzou unless you are in the dorms.
TigerNet is WPA, use your login name and password, only use "mst-users\[username]"
TigerNet1A is PSK, just get the preshared key (I forgot what it is).
I might have the names switched or slightly wrong, but you get the idea.
In CLCs at Mizzou, just change the login domain to mst-users. They don't use roaming profiles, so your profile won't load. Also, I think there is an issue with getting to your S: drive, but for the most part the internet and software should still work.

Hmm...I could've sworn I was able to use Outlook (not web access) when I logged into a Mizzou CLC machine a couple years ago, but I could be wrong. It was a couple years ago after all.
And there's no MAC registration at Mizzou? All anyone needs is the key (which can probably be found with a Google search) to join the network? That doesn't sound very secure. With MST's PSK network, at least you still have to have your MAC registered before you can use it.
