I have an Asus eee 901 and was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to improve it? speed/performance wise.

So far Ive already done:
-2gb ram upgrade
-16gb highspeed SSD upgrade
-running Win7 on 16gb sdd and xp on 4gb ssd in dual boot

Anyone have anymore ideas on how to improve the speed/performance of this little guy? I had done the HDD addon with a 60gb hdd but I wasn't pleased with the speed so I threw it into my ipod and am going to stick with the ssd.

Buy a real computer rather than buy a netbook and spend a gazillion dollars tricking out a $200 computer.

I have one, my desktop. This one serves its purpose as an ultra portable, was just wondering if anyone knew a way to make it faster without getting a physically bigger one.

I've read wonders about how well NoScript can improve performance.

I've also used a program called GMABooster on my old Eee PC.

It reclocks the graphics accelerator for better performance (if you're looking to do some low-level gaming). By default, it's underclocked for better battery life.

I use Alacrity PC on my UMPC to shutdown unnecessary services if I'm doing something really intensive.

Another option would be to simply use your netbook to remote into your more powerful desktop. I do this on occasion and it tends to work very well.

Thank you for the information. I'll attempt to do these later and post how it goes. =)
