Which name do you guys perfer for the maker of the world's greatest computers, MP3 players, and operating system?

dunno 1 and 2 because I've never bought a computer from a company, or an mp3 player, but as for the maker of the best operating system I "perfer" the name Microsoft

i always liked teh conjoined "Apple-Macintosh".

how did this arise anyway? i thought that apple was the origional name of the company, and then the macintosh was a type of apple computer you could get (just like teh macintosh is a type of apple you can eat)

i think i like apple, but they can keep calling it "macOS"

Yeah, the MP3 players are cool. They look good (which is the first thing I care about in my MP3 player), are a little bit more convenient, and only cost TWICE AS GODDAMN MUCH.

oh yeah, and what's that thing about the batteries wearing out right after the waranty does.....the ones that you can't just replace...

I have had my iPod for a year now with absolutely no signs of battery problems. My girlfriend has had hers for a year and a half and it still works great. I know another guy who's battery works great in his also. A couple of guys had a problem and they made a stinkin video for it and everyone thinks there is a battery problem with all of them!

FYI - Macs are really nice and efficient pieces of equipment. Although they maybe slightly slower than a comparible PC, their CPUs are much smaller and run much cooler. Their problem is a lack of software support and limited upgrade pathes when compared to standard PC's. The cost isn't very attractive, either...



That's the way I understand it also. Apple is the company name, while Macintosh is one of their product lines.

I always get pissed off going to the library and the only open computers are those shitty useless macs

I have found this to be ture: anyone that has tried to use a mac OS X box no longer flames about macs being useless and gives them some credit. Try to use one for more than 5 min and don't complain about not being able to find the start button! It is not like windows and that is what makes it good!

I like MacOS X, I used for a little while when I borrowed a friends ibook.
But alas I can only afford 1 computer right now, and I don't know what I would do without my PC

What do you do on your PC that you think a Mac won't do? Besides gaming although Halo was originaly intended as a Mac only game before microsoft decided that they would use thier money to make sure that it didn't happen.
