well, i've been wanting to build a cheap computer for myself and, of course, need a motherboard. on tigerdirect they have the mach speeds which are pretty cheap and also come with a lifetime warranty. ive read the reviews and doesnt seem to be any different from other brands. has anyone had any personal experience with this brand?

get yourself a nForce2 motherboard, a mobile 2400+/2600+, a fairly decent heatsink (slk-800/900 or something similar), your choice of vid cards (I'd go with a ati 9500 or above) and you will have a pretty cheap and damned fast machine. I also suggest getting a gig of ram and turning off the pagefile.

I definetly agree. You can overclock the crap out of those mobile chips too if you want, I've seen people online get a Mobile 2600+ to 2.6GHz on air with a quality heatsink.
I have a 2 week used DFI Infinity nforce 2 ultra board, best overclocking board for AMD XP's. Had to RMA my LanParty so i picked this up durning that time. Email me if you're interested. Link of board info.
