ive had this sony external dvd burner for a while and just recently took it out of its sleeve and put it in my computer. im trying to get other things working in the sleeve like another hard drive or the cd drive i replaced with the burning. my computer wont recognize that somthing is connected. any help would be great

You may be SOL. But I'd at least try another ASPI device such as a DVD or CD rom

I'm pretty sure all external devices need to be set as master.
