I'd reccomend Rainlendar. It's a little program that overlays on top of your desktop without interfering with your icons or programs. It can run as a window too, but it's not nearly as cool then.
Small and lightweight Different type events can have different appearence Supports Windows transparency Synchronizes events between several clients Localized for multiple languages Shows an alarm when an event is due Shows Outlook's appointments Includes a todo-list Works also as Litestep plugin Displays the current date in tray icon Can stick to the desktop (i.e. doesn't hide with Show Desktop) Hotkeys for quick access Easy skinning with an UI Can be controlled from 3rd party applications with !bangs and more...
Remember you have a calendar in your exchange account on campus. Outlook is kind of a dog off campus, but I always used the web client.. especially when i would sync it up with my PocketPC (that I recently sold)
So, technically, if you want to use a calendar without any further installations, just use http://minermail.umr.edu
Hopefully CIS will upgrade to the new version of OWA, it is very nice. They'll screw it up a few times, but they'll eventually get it right.
