I remember my roomate's harddrive fucking up sometime last year and I think it said something along the lines of him having a bajillion or so gigs of space available/filled, or something like that.

Ho-ly Shit. You're copying enough stuff to overflow a counter variable, causing the status indicator and time left to screw up. That is such a MASSIVE ISSUE that I cannot possibly believe Microsoft didn't send someone to your room with the full source to fix the code right that. How dare MS not code and use an infinite precision number class to use for all worthless internal calculations. Wow, that's just amazing.
Oh, and Even more amazing is your own ignorance concerning how important some bug is. Oh NOES! They're displaying the wrong time left! The world will end! OMGWTFBBQIGD OH NOES!!! Given the number of other, real, problems in Windows, I seriously doubt fixing this one is a big deal.
