Am running XP Home, on an HP machine. Due to that combo, I dun see the BIOS screen when I start up, which is really fucking annoying. Does anyone know how I could turn off that evil blue screen, and have the normal BIOS screens?

On another note, I cannot access the BIOS setup, no matter how many times, or when, I hit Delete. It might be some other key, knowing HP, but does anyone have any ideas one way or the other?

I wanna know too, cause the HP machine of mine has booting problems that I cannot fix because of that stupid boot screen. At least Dell has the decency to allow users to enter the BIOS.

If I remember right, for HP Pavilions, It's an F-key. I think it's F11 or F12, but I'm not sure. My old roommate had a newer HP Pavilion, and his BIOS entering key was one of the F-keys.

I know that F10 opens the menu for the auto recovery. Am going to restart and try and see if I can find what key it is.

For me F8 is Advanced Start-Up Options, F10 is System Recovery and F11 is BIOS Settings.

Tested it, and is the same for me as what Error said.

should be f2, and tab or esc will sometimes get rid of that annoying hp screen on boot, but you can disable it once in bios
