Did they replace that god awful 4MhZ Saturn processor?

That's what held back the 49, IMO. The 48 was old enough that the Saturn in it was understandable. HP had their reasons for keeping it in the 49, but those reasons weren't good enough.

Zach, I think I showed you mine last year. They put in a 75mhz arm proc that is spec's to run at 203mhz. HP did something right for once. I guess they listened to all of the bitching from the hp48 crowd and put the clicky buttons back, gave it a generic expansion slot, gave it a bigger screen... I got mine just after they came out for about $130

yeah, they did replace the 4mhz saturn proc. it is emulated now using the arm9, the hp-gcc compiler is the arm-elf-gcc compiler which works for the hp49g+. when will they get rid of the emulation... anyone trying to get it to run arm code other than what came with the calculator?
