I am looking to get a cheap, working ethernet switch. Gigabit would be preferable. Send me a PM if you have one lying around and would part with it for a reasonably cheap price. I would have to pick it up this weekend only. Thanks |

How does $10 for one of the following sound? They aren't switches, unfortunately. Netgear RP614v2 100BASE-TX Ethernet Router Netgear RP614v3 100BASE-TX Ethernet Router Netgear WGR614v7 100BASE-TX + Wireless Router Let me know if you're interested, and I will test them to see if they're fully functional after collecting dust for a few months. I probably have a switch deep within a box, so if a router is completely unacceptable, let me know. |

I would really prefer just a plain switch. I am needing it to connect to a router, but dont really want to have the range extended. I just pretty much need something that will give me 3 more inputs about 100ft away from the main router. |

those routers have built in switches in them. if you disable the dhcp server and wireless in the web config of the router and don't use the WAN port, it really isn't a router anymore, just a switch. also, a suggestion: you can get a switch (sometimes even gigabit) on tigerdirect or newegg for around $15, so to me it wouldn't even be worth it to buy a used one. |
