There was a topic about this last semester, but I couldn't find it.

Where around Rolla can I get a haircut. It kind of pisses me off that no matter when I walk to the place behind the Pike house, I can't get one because they are filled with appointments for the day. Is it unreasonable for me to want to be able to walk into a barber shop and be able to get a haircut, even if I don't have a *gasp* appointment?

Why should I have to set a rigid time for myself to get one? What if a say to myself, "hmmm, right now would be a good time to get that haircut I've been meaning to get."

If you need a haircut, set up an appointment and just get the damned thing cut. Ask them what times they have open, and fuck your whims, and get it done when you can.

Maybe they don't want to cut your hair, or give you business. lukecp got one, so it isn't happening to everybody. It is most likely just you.

Great Clips sucks nuts. I'd really recommend going anywhere but to them. They managed to fuck up my hair at least twice. I think I might just wait till I go home for break so it's free as well as knowing that the woman who cuts my hair knows what she's doing.

the barber shop on pine by the local tv place is pretty good and fast, especially for being only $9

Yeah, DownTown Barber Shop is a good one. It's on Pine Street, 1/2 block north of 10th street, next to the Palace. Both the guys in there are really friendly. They close at 5:00, but if you get in there by 4:55, they'll guarantee you a haircut.

They stay pretty busy, but I've never had to wait over 30 minutes. And 9 bucks? It's not a bad deal. You can even afford to tip. :D

i fashion the good 'ol regular army haircut on post. i've olny had 2 haircuts off base and until my ID card expires, those will be the only 2. it's hard to find a barber shop (especially if retired military) off post. we use to have a handful back home but havent seen many lately. i hate those hair salons and beauty parlors. i just want a regular haircut...you know, a little off the top, sides, back, and trim my bangs up. how hard is that? the beauticians look at me like im a freaking retarded. guh...

Do it yourself...shave it all off. Its the easiest and simplest way. Plus it doesn't cost you a thing if you do it yourself.
