After meeting with my advisor today it finally sunk into my head that I have but 3 semesters left in Rolla. The amount of joy I felt when leaving that office has not been felt in years. I just can't wait to graduate and begin the rest of my life.

well i'm already sentanced to stay here this summer (turns out dropping ME225 wasn't the greatest idea), and after that i have two options

1) graduate on time, 4 semesters (1 summer term, next may) taking 17 and 18 credit hours each semester

2) graduate in 4 1/2, taking 12 credit hours each semester

as much as rolla sucks, i could not imagine rolla taking 18 credit hours. gahh that would suck. all these engineering courses, all those text books to cram up my asshole.....

I had the same problem, but I honestly dont mind the extra semester and there's no way i'm taking senior design with 18 hours or so...that's nuts. I'll probably be around this fall and spring coming up, then co-op the next fall and graduate spring 2006 so I'm not the only one graduating from my dept. We only had 2 this past semester.

Don't forget the tuition hikes!

I'm going to support a coalition to hand out trial-size tubes of KY jelly in the freshman welcome bags, with a note attached to explain that it's for the impending ass-raping.

It sounds trite, but there are times that I wish I could be within walking distance of the majority of my friends and in general be pretty much surrounded by people my own age. Closer to it than my coworkers are (they're all my parents' age or older), anyway.

Being out of Rolla has its pros, but it can also be kinda lonely.

As to quote a friend of mine after a calc2 test last semester, 'That was like complete anal rapage without any lube.' I hereby support your coalition to help the incomming freshmen.

I'm with you on that one, it's really weird actually being the youngest in a crowd for once. On top of that the people I work with do have children that are my age. It gets a little harder to go out there and make friends your age when you don't have as much of a connection, like school.

Believe it or not I remember that quote, it was on Seek last semester. Good times had by all.
