anybody out there with Xbox Live and is thinking about downloading the new multiplayer maps? i think its 5.99 for the update. anyway, if you do and happen to have a memory card, id be willing to split the cost of the download to be able to transfer the update to my xbox. and if its not possible to transfer updates through memory cards, then no biggie.

Nothing big to me, except for containment which is going to be the new Sidewinder Big Team map.

I'm pretty sure the Xbox memory cards hold 8mb of data...and I'm also pretty sure the new maps are larger than 8mb, plus...without a modded box I doubt that MS would have it setup where you could exchange maps like that.

I'm not sure on the size, but you can find out by going under the gamesaves section and finding it under the halo2 directory.

Warlock furthurs my hopes of a repeat of good Halo maps.

Now that we have Battle Creek, Wizard, and a fucked up Blood Gulch, we just need the last few good ones. Hang em high and Derelict. maybe they'll pop out the others too.

Sanctuary looks neat, a very good 8 player CTF map. It beats playing on Midship.

Containment looks really awesome, and its fun to screw around with. Should be good for both Multi and Single CTF, as well as nuetral flag and oddball. huge map with tons of good sniper positions. the base is damn near inmpenitrable by vehicles, unless you open the gate (which is only temporary). Plus its the only map with two rocket launcher spawns.

i was under the impression that headlong had two rocket launchers.

i "got" them (modded xbox) they are fun but definately not worth 6bucks

the total file is larger than 8mb and im pretty certain you cannot transfer using a memory card.

turf is a small urban field where the scarab crashed, its just a loop with a warthog

sanctuary is quite a bit of fun lots of weapons, 4 snipers, energy sword, shotguns and the normal crap. 2 bases, should be fun for a high scoring CTF

They run around 100mb for a set of maps.

i think it was worth it.

even with as little halo as i've been playing, i couldn't wait for june, and i don't have a modded box.

im pretty sure that up on the top of the building is the only spawn. theres a brute shot on the other building

So this week Bungie will be updating their matchmaking playlists to include the new maps. Anyone know how they will handle us cheap bastards that refuse to download the two maps?

They're offering 2 maps for free, and 2 other maps for $5.99. I'm pretty sure Bungie is only adding the free maps to Matchmaking.

I am sure that there is one under the overpass and the one on the building. If not then that map would be vicious to spawn points.

Ryo, you've got it right. There are two rocket launcher spawns on Headlong. There's the obviously stated on up on the one building. Then there's also the one under the overpass as you've said.
