How do they get off charging $50 for a game that's FREE on the PC? It has no recurring costs except for the physical medium it's distributed on. Every copy sold is basically complete profit, because it has no developer cost. Are people seriously going to buy that game?

I don't see the problem with it if the US army is making money. Just because they give out the game for free doesn't mean that they cannot also sell it.

The US Army isn't supposed to be able to make money off of it. That also means Microsoft shouldn't have had to pay for putting it on the system. There should have been no development cost. The game is FREE on PC, and should only cost a reasonable amount for distribution media for any console. What they're getting is just a sick amount for every cd sold.

Of course there was development cost. The US army spent tons of money making the game. They should be able to make some money off of it, and I doubt they will be making a profit. I dislike Microsoft plenty, in fact I neither purchase nor pirate their products, but it the Army's decision to port it to the xbox 360.
Now, if the US army is not getting a dime, then I agree with you.

Dammit, it's ILLEGAL for the army to make money off of it. That's why the game is FREE on the PC. All the game is, is some massive recruitment and training tool anyway. They CAN'T make money off of the game. Licensing fees? And who would those go to, Sony? No, they're going to Microsoft. They're making way more profit than is reasonable for every copy of that game sold. I suppose if Ubisoft is publishing, then part of it is going to them, but again, porting is a one time thing. I'm sorry, but you can't justify a full $50 for that game.
