I wasn't aware that shutting down the server was a setting.

The only time I've seen people on the CSS server I joined it, and they all did a kickvote on me as soon as I got in the game. So I reserved the server for the next open slot then banned them all and shut the server down. Oops. |

You probably shouldnt admit to abusing rcon access on these forums, many of us from the gameserver staff watch these forums. |

I didn't know it was abuse; I thought the reservations were for whatever you wanted to do: 2006-05-08: Want to play on the UMR game server but only want your friends to join? Want to kick new players off? Reserve a server! This new service was added to allow clans and students to reserve the Counter-Strike server. This allows you to change whatever settings you wish: including kicking players, setting a game password, and more! Meh. Worst case scenario I get banned from a server that nobody ever plays on anyway? |

It seems like the Warsow server is used daily, but all the other servers are dead. I think a lot of on campus gamers don't know about the UMR servers, and/or they dont use these forums. If you wanted to game with some people, just PM them here, talk to them on (insert name here) Messenger, Xfire, or post a topic. |

The CS:S server was packed when this service was started, now you'd be lucky to see anyone on there. I'm not really sure what happened, maybe it's because no one wanted to play with heretic. |

CSS is tooooo easy and Quake/Unrealtournament are both dead. With UT being dead there is really no reason for another server, since there is already the other server. |
