Okay, so I've beaten it like five times. And I've played Lost Coast like four times. And the first installment of Minerva (Metastasis).

Problem is, the game HL2 itself has slowed down immensely. I used to max out the settings on 1920x1200 resolution with no slowdown. Now, it's very stuttery with the minimum resolution and all the settings all the way down (including no HDR).

Weird thing is, I can play Lost Coast with full HDR and almost max settings, and Metastasis with no HDR and maxed settings, with nary a stutter. Excellent framerate.

What's going on here?

You may have memory leaks. Spray soapy water onto your RAM and see if any bubbles form. If they do then your memory is leaking into the air.

DANGIT! That caused the magic blue smoke to leave my computer. The computer doesn't run without that magic blue smoke.

Whenever I have memory leaks I just pee into my computer. It's sterile, so it's safe for the components, but it also flushes them out so they're good as new. Duh.

Dell XPS2 running XP SP2

Pentium 2.00 GHz 319MHz FSB w/ 2.00 GB DDRAM, video card: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 Ultra

Like I said, before HDR lighting, it ran HL2 perfectly at 1920x1200 with all the effects maxed. Still runs Lost Coast pretty well at slightly reduced settings with full HDR.
