The goat house crew is trying to get a feel for the interest in a doubles smash brothers tournament to be put on this Sunday at 2pm. Rules will be identical to the previous singles tournament (see topic: http://r01ajrhc8.desktop.umr.edu:1234/p ... hp?t=15667) with the following changes: -Location: 933 E. 7th St. (Next to the high school off of Holloway) -Time: 2pm-finished -Entry Fee: 5$/person = 10$/team -Pot Split: 8-10 teams: 60/30/10 11-15 teams: 60/30/10/entry fee 16+: tba -Seeding will NOT be conducted by pool play. Seeding will be randomized and conducted the day of the tournament. -You can only enter on one team. -Team attack - On -Life stealing allowed Crew battles and 1 vs 1 are allowed, but must be organized by the participants only. We will not set these up for you. At this point we are only gauging interest in the tournament. Please post confirmations with you and your partner's name. (ie - Wario/Icetoah will be on a team). We are not planning on hosting the tournament unless we can get 8 team confirmations (16 participants). We will announce Friday afternoon whether or not we got enough participants to have the tournament. Fred and A2 will be there, ice we need a way to get the word out to the people that dont normally come to seek so they can see this info. Any ideas because I would be willing to help. Also you might want to amend those rulse to not include FoD as a counter pick stage becaue of lag. -A2 |

I'm not expecting to have the tournament this weekend, just because of the short notice. Unfortunately, there aren't good ways to spread the news to those who don't check seek. I've sent an email to some RAs in TJ I know, so if they know anyone that plays they can pass on the word. We're also looking into posting some flyers in CompSci as well. I'm up for any other ideas though. I agree with banning FoD as a team stage as well. Drew, I think we have an extra member here who needs a teammate, let me know if you are interested. The Smash Tournament has been postponed until next weekend, as we didn't have enough teams to put on a tournament. We will however be playing smash throughout the weekend, so if anyone wants to organize some matches, or a crew battle please let us know. Thanks for all the interest! |
