That's pretty cool, but with all the extra stuff put in I think I'd rather do one of those briefcase mods that were out for the original. Having a plexiglass case with a LCD monitor and the box inside. This definitely is by far the cooler mod being a laptop but I just don't know if I could pull it off like that. |

I went through all of the pages this morning after it was first posted on XS. It's definitly do-able by following his build procedure, but it probably cost a damn arm and a leg. It's definitely a cool mod, I just hope that nothing happens to the console. I already know a few people who had their launch day consoles go up in smoke with the lights of death. |

Add me to that list. Just got it back from MS last Wednesday. Assholes had the nerve to charge me $129 for their own poorly designed product. |

My friend mike (redwarrior021) had it happen, we just bought a new one at Wal mart and took his broken one back and got a full refund. Not very ethical but Walmart gets credit from MS for a new one... so it eventually sticks it to the right company. |
