basically they are charging people via xbox live marketplace for "bonus" content that is already on the disc. EA has hit a new low in my book, and MS too for allowing such crap.

EA has sucked it up as a company for a long time now. They excel at milking the crap out of franchises and licences. Case in point: The Sims, Sports Franchise 200X edition, so many mediocre movie console and PC games, etc.

It really pisses me off that they took over Maxis to turn them into a Sims expansion pack factory. The SimWhatever games were some of my favorites.

I'm kind of ambivalent about this issue. Granted, EA is fucked up for doing this, and I'm not giving them credit. However, I like the Marketplace idea so much that I'm willing to accept that a few people will abuse the system. Of course EA is going to lead the way with shit like this, but I'd rather have the system used and occasionally abused rather than not exist at all.
