Does anyone know how to set up a wii so it can use the school's wireless?

Just a guess, you need to register your mac address of the Wii and input the WEP password.

Your best bet would be to just call UMR IT and have them walk you through it.

bumping this for him. i went over to help him out and we put in the wep password, and he already (properly) registered its mac with UMR IT, but it doesn't want to connect. I think it has something to do with the Campus Wireless making you authenticate your username and password, because he brought it over to my dorm and it works fine with my router's wireless.

edit: so anyone with a wii able to connect to the campus wireless?

Off campus here, just bring it to the IT dept and have them do all the work. It's small enough to not be that much of a hassle

I took it to IT. they couldn't help sonow I'm back to sqare 1. They said it may be because the wii must use a channel 1 or 11 wireless connection. But the IP UMR_Campus is ch 11 and one of the UMR is ch 1 so I don't know what the prob. is.
