Let us know what you want to win prizes for playing. There will be tons servers up for most if not all of the above games, but do to time constraints we can only run a few tourneys. Which ones do you guys want?

We will decide which games to use by Friday, so please vote by then. Rules for the tournaments will be posted this weekend.
Keep in mind that all games listed here will have servers running for them. Just because the game you voted for doesn't win in our tournament selection, we'll still have a server running for it.
Note: for those voting for DotA, we will be using pvpgn to host Battle.net games. Currently, only Windows Warcraft 3 clients can connect to the servers due to a loader executable needed, so for those of you with Macs, you'll either need to run the game in Windows, or try Crossover or Parallels. This doesn't affect Starcraft, which has been tested and works under OSX.

We will have a TF2 server up, but this event won't be big enough to support a tournament. Events I've seen online and at big lans call for 6 player teams. With our goal of about 40 people, we would have to make it a TF2 only lan in order to draw enough people in for a decent tournament.

One vote for Unreal Tournament 3. Or at least Unreal Tournament 2004. I would prefer 3 if we get enough people.
What kind of tournament would you suggest? My competitive experience with UT2004 was with 1v1, 4v4 TDM, and 3v3 TAM, and I haven't played much UT3.
I can run either server (non tournament) at the lan, but I'd prefer not to run both. Let me know what you think would be most popular and I'll set it up. My vote would be for UT2004.

some TMNF, TF2 and maybe Sins of a Solar Empire might actually attract me to attend MinerLAN. In that order mind you.
We might be able to run a track mania server, but don't know how that would work out for competition. Maybe average time over several maps with a high penalty for not completing a map. Dunno. It is a possibility I suppose.
Not enough people for TF2, and Sins games take much too long to complete from what I have seen, it would be hard to hold a tourney unless you did one big FFA match I guess.
Also, there will be no console tournaments at this event. Maybe if we can get msft to sponsor the larger spring event would can get a console section.

If we brought our own?
I suppose you can bring our own console and TV, but we won't be having any console tournaments at this LAN. Note: all the games listed on the poll are the PC versions of the games. If you voted COD4 because you wanted to play on xbox360, sorry.
