I have COH and SupCom. Not really great at either. I should practice some COH before the event though, but I would definitely be up for some games. The reason who chose starcraft is because matches only take 30ish minutes, wheras CoH and SupCom are much more drawn out games. I like them better because I feel they rely more on strategy and less on micro, but we just don't have time to do a tournament for every game available.

c'mon, i say this at least once a semester... pullz?
If you get enough people to vote for it, you'll see it as a tournament game. Remember, this list represents TOURNAMENT GAMES - games you'll play to win prizes. This DOES NOT restrict you from playing other games at the lan.

I think it is worth mentioning that we secured a sponsor for the event, so that means we will be able to give out some pretty high dollar prizes to the winners.
So everyone say a little thank you to Lockheed Martin (http://www.lockheedmartin.com/) for their generation donation. Hope to see a lot of you guys there.

Alright, thanks. I dont have any of those games in the list, so unless there is a console there I guess I wont be any use for me to go there.
Since no one ever has images of the games being played shared ... ACM doesn't condone piracy, but we're not going to go around checking your games... I don't know if the final decisions have been made on games yet, but if there are any Steam games involved I'm sure you wouldn't have trouble finding someone that would let you play on their computer for a while. Also, last year at both of our LANs, the tournaments weren't really the centerpiece of what was going on - for the most part people just play random games together, whatever is fun at the time. I played Duke3D, RocketCrowbar, Uno, Warsow, Armegatron, TF2, and Counterstrike with a lot of people. I played in tournaments for about 15 minutes. If you have a game, chances are other people do too, and someone will want to play it. Also, in the past we've secured something like a 15mb connection to the internet, so you can play online with your friends also.
Also, to be noted: ACM will also be having an AI programming competition going on on the same weekend. It will start on Friday at 5:00pm and end on Saturday at 6:00pm - basically you get 24 hours to write an AI for a game that a few of us have been working on... I wrote the API for this one and the last one, and let me assure you, someone that has taken CS53 would be able to do this stuff... all you need to know how to do really is use the <vector> type of container and you're good to go.
