well i have not got to play the game yet. As its not installed yet, i played the demo on 360 and pc. The 360 version is good, normal analog limitations thought, looks good. PC is a def upgrade in higher resolution and higher res textures. I played the demo for most likely 10 hours total. Each time you replay the level tings are placed differently and different zombie, horde sizes, bosses, weapons etc. I played through all the difficulties from pretty easy to realistically hard. When playing through with different people its a significant difference and there are some nice tricks you can learn from them. I went with the PC version i bought it like ann hour early saved $5, and $10 less than console. I think its worth, if you liked CSS or HLDM then this is a great title definitely for you.
BTW i like ur sig, but i was able to pull 80 down 6 up
The game is awesome. I'd buy it if it were in the $30 range - I don't think it's worth $50 though. After playing the demo through several times, I'd still play it... but it seems like after a while, people are going to get bored of this game and the value will diminish. If it makes it to ebay, I'd buy it with the 25% cashback that's floating around... But yeah - awesome game, awesome experience, but I don't think it's worth $50.

So today i played through a portion of the game. There is a lot more content there than you would think. The levels are about twice as long as in the demo, and there are 5. With all the different difficulty settings i could see this game having a lot of replay value with 4 player co-op. i was kinda hurt that it was 50 i agree. But i liked source alot, that was fewer maps and multiplayer only and still enjoyable.
Given today's options, I'd rather give $50 to valve than $30 to EA
Same, but I can wait till it's on sale on Steam... it's kind of a slap in the face to see all Valve games available for $100 including Left4Dead... so yeah. I'll just wait till it's cheap / bundled with Ep3 / portal 2 / etc.

Same. I just couldn't justify spending 50 (or 45) dollars on this game. It feels like its worth about 30-35. Or maybe I'm just spoiled by the great value that was the Orange Box (last game I bought). I just think $50 for almost any game is overpriced.
So I too am waiting until its on sale at the steam store.

I don't even think I will get it in on sale unless a bunch of my friends do. If the online community dies off by the time it goes on sale it will have lost a lot of it's value. Like TF2 right now, it is hard to find many good games unless they release a new player update, in which case everyone all wants to play the new class.
Anyway, I could have a change of heart if I find out the VS mode is a must have gaming experience.

i agree 50 to valve over ea. And i think there is more there for $50 than you think, and alot more goes into a game now than it used to. Heck that game is alot longer than i thought at first, i have bene playing nonstop and not been able to complete all the campaigns yet. The community feels good so far, i can always find a game quick and easy. It got like an auto match now instead of the server browser unless u wanna join friends or a steam group. I haven't even touched the versus mode yet. considering i paid $60 for cod4 & halo3 and the campaign took around 10 hours, and i have gotten in over 10 now on L4D and still not beat it, and multiplayer is just as good on here as it is any other game. I mean honestly in what game at the end does it tell you, You topped your team in general infected kills. 8,886 kills!
