Ok guys we need some help here. Have a non-modded xbox, was playing Tenchu, a game that was scratched allready, but after a resurface and good cleaning it worked, until last night. We now get a flashing red and green light, gane won't play, the disc won't eject, and get a bunch of different languages saying the xbox needs service. Any ideas?

it will frag if the DVD drive is completely dead, but generally you get a lot of DDE's before that. Check error code, if it dosent give one, open and check for loose cables, or sell it to me for cheap$$$

Yeah, I've gotten to use to modded Xbox's... a DVD drive isn't needed with another bios and it won't frag because of it, my bad.
Just give out the error code and we'll know what's wrong and if it's fixable or worth buying.
ussually the error screen has a number on the top left corner.
Maybe yours isn't showing one, whick makes this harder to figure out. Does it have a Number with the screen or is it just service tag saying it needs serviced?

well just open it up check loose cables, start it up without the top on and try and notice any unusual sounds, its basically a pc so listen for bad HDD or something similar.
if none of that helps diagnose it, i would need to know what version it is before I would buy it. if it gets here PM me

Ok, thanks for the pictures- its a code 11. I didn't realize that was a code in the corner.
Error code eleven means the kernel can't locate the DVD drive (No DVD Found)
So it's either a loose cable or a bad dvd drive. Either way you'll have to open your xbox to see. To open the case you'll need Torx bits sizes 10 and 20. Not very common but any auto guy should have some.
Now you'll have a better idea of what to do... if you have any questions let me know.
