I would really prefer just a plain switch. I am needing it to connect to a router, but dont really want to have the range extended. I just pretty much need something that will give me 3 more inputs about 100ft away from the main router.

those routers have built in switches in them. if you disable the dhcp server and wireless in the web config of the router and don't use the WAN port, it really isn't a router anymore, just a switch.
also, a suggestion: you can get a switch (sometimes even gigabit) on tigerdirect or newegg for around $15, so to me it wouldn't even be worth it to buy a used one.
