You may want to start writing your epitaph now.

I had to use ilrn in calc 1 as well. You get used to its bullshit. It still is a source of much frustration, but I have found teachers are very helpful if you ask questions about how to put in your answers, or even working something out with you when the system screws you over.
Oh, and other than a few things I still don't like, the system is a lot better than it was a year ago.

oneline hw bullshit? please explain. I don't remember that from F05. Although our section had a horrible TA (The first test we averaged 20% so he had to curve it 40% just to make the average >60%

the math department sucks. The Rolla building has been a source of some of my greatest frustration for my entire college career. If it decided to burst into flames, a little part of me would jump for joy.

wow i feel sorry for you. my wife is in calc3 with dr.morgan and she is having trouble with it. i had to use the online homeowrk system for calc1 and I have to say it really screwed some students over. HW turned into more guess the answer caus you might be a tenth of a fraction off.
Now if it were something like you electroniclly submit your answers to the teacher it would be a different story. But right now its a poor tool.
If such a system is used the Math department should give the option of doing written work.
Anyway good luck to those unfortionate calc3 people out there. My advice: use the resources you have, people that have taken it before and work out problems int he book. Probibly your only hope.
LOL, calc3 is easy. I was able to do it freshman year and pull out an easy A. A-CALC here I come!!!!

Hey, if people are going to treat it like it's a massive feat to pass an easy class, then I'm going to act like it.

I took all that crap before I came to rolla. Figured it would probably be a hella lot easier at SCCC. Think I was right...
So is the math dept here really that bad?
(Or are you guys just letting out frustrations? )
Well I haven't had any problems with the math department, but the online homework has been frusturating in the past. They seem to have fixed a lot of issues, but it still isn't perfect. I have managed to bash my head into the wall much less so far (only 4 assingments).
The instant gratification is kindof scary. I find myself holding by breath whenever I sumbit an answer, because you only get so many tries, and the system can be picky on how it wants your answer formatted.
