I guess he's changed it since I had the class, but that was a couple years ago. At the time, it was an actual text book he had co-authored, and the bookstore had it and it came with a CD. But the first day of class, he just held it up, said he was required to submit a text book to the registrar or something and if we bought it, we could go return it. Was a pretty easy class too, I don't think it was possible to get a low grade the semester I was in. I think he even ended up giving people extra points if they ended up staying the full length of time allowed for tests if they were having problems.

When I took him he only collected one assignment. In hind-sight, I could've taken a zero on the assignment and still come out with an easy A. I guess hind sight is always 20/20

I took the class just this fall and never bought his book and just photoshopped the name from my friend's book and I never got dropped from the class so I'm pretty sure they don't check to see if you bought it or not.
