Well its a lot more than just using web browser....... take this one if u would like to knw hw internet actually works.... and people are right Dr. Flachsbart is like THE worst prof ever. if u hv a lazy bum dnt take this one.... he expects a lot and unfortunately on time......

IST 336 mainly focuses on the technolgy, protocols, and other raw stuff that makes the web tick. While it may be basic for some people, it's very interesting overall.
As for the teacher comments, I'm an IST graduate, so I won't argue the point that Dr. Flachsbart is a tough teacher. He expects things to be in on time, and he sets high standards for his students. But, if you pay attention, turn in your work on time, and ask for help when you need it, you won't have a problem in any of his classes.
