Anyone else here on the waiting list for IST 346 next Fall? "Enterprise Resource Planning Systems Design and Implementation". It put me on the waiting list because the class is listed as closed on JoeSS now. Dr. Flachsbart said they are wait listing all the current IST students because they want to to fill the slots with new grad students in the fall.

Are they allowed to block current students from taking a class in order to save the seats for future grad students that dont even go to school here yet?? (not to mention dont even live in the country yet) Just seems very odd to me. And, I'm ticked off that there are no 300 level classes for an IST to take that aren't on Tuesday Evening next fall.

Anyone else wait-listed for this?

Yes. It was the only IST class offered next semester that fit into my schedule, that I had the prereqs to take, and was interested in taking.
And I need an IST class next fall otherwise I won't be able to get my minor in IST.

Bunch of bullshit is what it is. I can always sign up for the "Distance Learning" section of the class, but that would be pretty retarded as I live right across the street from the IDE building where the class is held. "Sorry all the seats are reserved for future students, but you can sit across the street in your apartment and learn on the internetz".

Costs more to take it that way too.

Edit: I think it cost ~$975 for a 3 hour class. Its more expensive than in-state tuition, but cheaper than out of state tuition.

Really? How much more?

I'll probably have to sign up for the distance learning course, because all the other 300 level courses are all on freakin' tuesday night.
