I have taken EE205/208 for the power elective requirement. I have the Elective A,B,C still to take. If I take 207 for one of these electives do I need to take 209 (the lab) with it? I know if I take CompE 213 I don't need to take 214, but the book says 207 and 209, so I'm not sure what to think.

you have been appointed an adviser for a reason. I highly recommend consulting him on the matter, rather than seeking some questionably reliable answer here.

Drop out and get a job at L.L. Dawgs, so you can get me free bratwurst all the time.

The EE department is segregated into different areas like power, communications, controls, digital signal processing, computers and electronics. My advisor is in the communications area. I met with him, asked him these questions, he told me the best advice he could give would be to ask students who have already gone through this. Hence why I am here. It is understandable that he doesn't know the specifics of every class outside of his group.

You don't need to take the lab with 207. I did the same thing, took 205/208 and then took 207. So did my friend.
