I'm thinking of taking INtro to Photography next semester. Has anybody taken this class? Is it easy? What's the prof like? I couldn't find him on ratemyprofessors (Brad Rupert), so I wanted to see if I could get feedback here. Please let me know what you thought of this class. Thanks!

I don't think it is new per se, but it just hasn't been offered in a long time as far as I know. I looked in to taking it a few semesters back and it seemed like it was never offered.

I'm in it this semester, though I've missed a lot due to strep throat and softball. Anyway, I personally have learned very little about photography, but it's nice to be forced to try new things (photography-wise). Most of the people in the class have point-and-shoots and no idea what they're doing, so they're probably learning much more than me. Still, it's enjoyable, and should be an easy A.
A couple weeks ago we went to Stonehenge as a class to shoot. Here are a couple pictures I took:
It was his idea to get really low to use the grass to cut out the buildings in the background, so I'll give him credit for that.
All in all, it's an enjoyable class (if you don't mind having class from 6-9 every Wednesday, or whatever time it's offered next semester) and even semi-pro photographers could learn at least a little.
Edit: BTW, I'm pretty darned sure that this is a new class as of this semester. I would have known otherwise.
