Does anyone know what an 'upper level humanities' credit is defined as in the EE curriculum required the senior yr?
I'm looking into the future and taking a basic humanities credit next semester and I want to make sure its a prereq for whatever upper level I take later.
So whats an easy and, possibly, fun upper level to take? Pysch, Pol Sci, History, Speech, etc? I need to make sure I have the prereq
That's a list of all the approved electives. If you go History, i'd take 175 over 176. I took 176, which was more interesting for me.. but the upper levels I wanted to take more needed 175.

QFT, but in my opinion, based off of experience, avoid history. The department here sucks for upper levels.

If you can go for humanities/social science rather than strictly humanities (since history is technically a social science) then there are other options besides history. I'm doing a history upper-level and I'm doing all right but it's nowhere near the cakewalk I hoped it would be.
Think about taking an economics upper-level--they're useful especially to anyone who ever intends to make substantial amounts of money some day. It can help you make ridiculous amounts of money someday instead.

Seconded. Dr. Cohen is awesome. Etymology is a really easy class if you're decent at memorization. Near the middle of the semester you pick a project to do having to do with the study of language (such as beginning to learn a foreign language, looking up roots of missouri place names, learning origins of Chinese characters, etc etc.) Even if you choose not to do the project (which I wouldn't recommend, it's really easy to BS your way through his evaluation. I chose to learn a bit of Japanese for my semester project and all he did to test me on it was to have me write down a few simple phrases and asked me how to say a couple of things. I only spent maybe 10 hours throughout the entire semester on the project) You still get a B in the class. Also, he tells you exactly what will be on the tests.

I've heard that Intro to Logic (Philosophy 15) is a simple class. Has anyone taken any of the upper level Philosophy classes? History of Philosophy I (Philo 204) or Ethics of Computer Usage (Philo 212) surely can't be too difficult.
