I just have to ask what the hell happened over the last two years? When I started back in 03, the average price for a new textbook was roughly $120. I haven't shopped at the bookstore on campus for a year and a half out of protest, but found myself in a bind this semester and had to borrow against my student aid to buy books.
I couldn't find a single book for any of my classes that was less than $180 new. Most were pushing $200! WTF? My Columbia College classes were just as bad, both of those books are $175, and those are 8-week classes!! For 18 hours of class, I'm in for $800 on books, and that's even with one class with no book required.
You'd think they'd throw in a free tube of lube if they're gonna ream us that hard.

No tengo mucho dinero, compadre.
I typically do AbeBooks and Amazon and buy the really cheap Indian reprints that smell like rice paddies and DDT. Six bucks and $20 shipping. Or else get two editions old and copy the homework.
Hell I might as well save the cash on the heat transfer book, from what I understand Crosbie teaches out of his fraking head anyway.
