I will be working on a project with the Simon Board this summer and next semester. It has been a LONG time since I have done any coding. I also lost my CPE213 files! I was wondering if I could get some programs that people made, so I can get the feel of things again. I know that the ece.mst.edu site has some programs, but I want more. They also don't have blinky. When I took the class we had to make a thermostat out of the simon board, and I am bummed that I lost the file, if anyone has that I would appreciate it. Send stuff to swsvy3@mst.edu.
I'm trying to do a simon project to drive a 20-step per rotation stepper motor. I have to be able to enter commands via a serial connection and get the motor to do various functions. IE Spin at a certain rpm, move to a certain degree motion, recalibrate after being moved, etc.
I have everything working but rotating at a certain speed. I don't know how to calculate a delay time for a certain RPM or use the timer interrupts to trigger motions.
I figured that for 'X' RPMs, I would need to have a timer interrupt and tell it to step every 3/X seconds.
My simon project uses a NXP P89LPC925 microprocessor running at the internal clock frequency of 7.373 MHz. Since the timer is incremented every 1 PCLK which is 2 CCLK cycles, the period of it is 0.27126 microseconds.
Any one have a project like this or think they could figure it out?
