damn straight, that game rocked. Amazing finish. I was working it for 99.7 KTTR fm, and it was definitly a thriller. Lets hope we can win it at home.

My prediction was cards in 6, and I'm stickin with it sadly. Atleast we're gonna win.

5-0 St. Louis for Game 3. Carpenter was dominant, and bad fielding again by Detroit helps us win.

Definitely freaked me out at first (3-0). Of course, at the beginning when they were going on about how Rodriguez, Polanco and the other guy were hitless after so many games, I had thought to myself, "Man, if those guys actually start hitting we may be in trouble." And there I was, Cards three runs down, wishing I hadn't thought of that.

So what happens when they actually get their fielding together?

Yep. They sure aren't. In fact, they now hold the record for most errors by a pitching staff in the World Series. Verlander is throwing tonight. Should be fun.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOT

(literally)

And verlander made another error. Did anybody else catch the video playing as they went to commercial at the end of the 4th inning (after Verlander's error) with all of the errors made by tigers pitchers, and Britney Spears "Oops, I did it again" playing in the background?

I would have made that game our anniversary event. Did it when Family Guy came back on the air a while back.

BTW, happy anniversary!

What a postseason for the Cardinals. They played hard and left it all out on the field. It just goes to show you that nothing is for certain when the playoffs come around.

I agree that Eckstein should be WS MVP, but I think Molina is the Playoff MVP. He had an amazing regular season behind the plate, but not so well when he stepped up to the dish to bat. When the playoffs came, however, he stepped it up a few notches and was a spark plug for the offense. How many clutch hits and inning-starting hits did he have? Almost too many to count for the postseason. He did way more than could be expected from a 7th/8th hole hitter.

Anyone else wonder what will happen with Isringhausen and Wainright (sp?)? Wainright had an amazing playoff run and Izzy didn't do so hot during this season. There were a bunch of close calls and maybe even some blown saves if I remember right.

I've heard they're gonna try to have Wainwright start next year.

At the beginning of this year, the impending free agencies of several pitchers prompted the farm system to groom Reyes and Wainwright for a starting role in the majors. However, I believe that we're going to resign Suppan and Weaver, letting go of Marquis, and we'll sign Reyes to the show and get a lefty, letting go of Mulder. Wainwright will be a closer most likely and Izzy will either be an 8th inning guy or let go altogether for Looper, IMO.
