Sweet, I hated being on EDGE every time I went down there. Can someone with an HSDPA phone (iPhone 3GS, the new AT&T-compatible Nexus One, maybe the most recent Windows Mobile phone) do a speed test? I'm curious to see if they deployed 7.2 HSDPA. |

Well, I hope they also updated their tower's capacity. During the day, I have really spotty connectivity on EDGE during peak hours (i.e. ~~ 10am-4pm). |

I live a mile out past JC penny's/Kmart (south rolla) and I get it in my house, so it's pretty wide coverage |

Anyone done a speedtest? This could be the deciding factor on which carrier I choose when I switch this summer. |

A quick speed test from Collegiate Station shows 1.2 down and .3 up. Not sure where the tower is, so I may be on the far end of the service range. |

I got 1.78Mb down and 0.35Mb up from near 72 and Salem and at Mobil across from TJ. |

I'm workin for att now and I just checked the rolla service map. There are a total of 5 towers around rolla, each one had a planned umts (3g) activation date of 3/31. I guess they were turned on and my sytems just haven't been updated yet. |

I'm workng in customer care, so I get to deal with people who bitch about how they don't get service, or their bill is too high, or they want to put a password on their account so their soon to be ex wife can't make any changes to the account. Ya, that last one happens. Alot. |

at the northeast corner of town (Northbrook Apartments, for those of you off campus ftw) I got exactly 1Mbit down and about 338kbit up with a 370msec ping. When I have wifi on, i get 1.3Mbit down, and 488kbit up, with a 178 msec ping, which is exactly where it should be through Fidelity. Who knew Speedtest.net made an app for the iPhone? Awesome. |
