Are these just as good as the versions you would buy at the UMR bookstore for twice the price?

Sometimes they are printed on crappier papper, but for the most part they are identical.

All the ones I've bought are the same except black and white instead of color. Only downside to it is they're harder to resale-bookstore won't take them and most people don't want paperback for whatever reason.

I got the international version of the CompE 111 book and it was most definitely sufficient. It was B&W, but it doesn't much matter for a digital circuits type book. Some pages came loose also. But you often pay 1/3 to 1/2 of the hardback price from online marketplace stores.
