In what fields? I think UMC is more credible than UMR in liberal arts/buisness, but UMR is more credible in engineering and science.
And I'm not even going into why I don't like DeVry or why I think that they have no credibility.

What he said. Mizzou is better than UMR for pretty much everything but technolgy and engineering.
Perhaps I was not clear. I do apologize. I am looking for a generic attitude toward the respective schools credibility as a whole regardless of a particular degree program.

I think that's an unfair comparison from the start.
Except that DeVry obviously belongs on the bottom.

I understand, and I honestly agree with you; It is not a fair comparison. But I’m looking for a generic opinion of the schools. The question is purposely set up the way it is for a reason. Which if I explained now would circumvent my reasoning…

Mizzou can kiss my ass. Overall, the students at UMR are 10x more intelligent. Practically anyone can get into Mizzou (maybe not any department), and at UMR, its much different.
Just take ACT scores for example.
UMR: 29
Mizzou: 21

Well now, that wouldn't be 10x more intelligent. That would be (29/21)x as intelligent. But your point is still valid. Everyone gets into Mizzou and it is basically a baby-sitter (with lots of alcohol) for college students.

I know some pretty dumb people going to UMR.
I don't think the purpose of this thread was to discuss the students, but discuss the professors and quality of instruction, and overall credibility.
Would it surprise you if I told you that the admit scores for UMR and Mizzu are the same?

Whats wrong with DeVry?
They pay their professors shit for the work they do. My dad worked for DeVry for 5 years and when he was laid off (because he was the least senior faculty member not to take early retirement), he was making around $30k/year and working 70-80 hours a week regardless of whether or not classes were in session. He had to change all of his classes over to a format that required that they be taught at least halfway online regardless of whether or not the class could actually be effectively be taught online.
And their response to declining enrollment was to increase tutition, fire faculty members, and generally decrease the quality of education there.
[Note: as far as I know, everything I've said holds true for the KC DeVry campus only. Other DeVry campuses might be different, but I doubt it.]

<rant>Does anyone know how easy it is to "pass" DeVry? Does one just pay and get an 'A'? Also, I just do not feel right about the idea of online classes. It seems to me one could have their 'textbook' at hand to answer test questions... Oh well... I know onlines classes are about all some people can do but still... </rant>

And just who is your dad by chance?
