Anyone interested in robots should come to the Robotics Team Intro Meeting on September 6th at 7:00 PM in CE 120. We compete annually in the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition (http://www.igvc.org). This year it looks like we will be bringing 3 robots, so there will be plenty of oppurtunities for people interested in doing work in mechnical design, electonics, artificial intelligence, control systems, business, management and most anything else.

For more information you can visit robotics.umr.edu or email robot@umr.edu and I might even check my messages before then, so you can try that, too

EDIT: Changed room

Being a robotics team member, I suppose I should bump this thread. I suggest posting a picture of the robot(s).

I think the hydraulics in his legs need to be revamped.

They're NPC wheel chair motors for the drive system. I don't remember what the steering motors are on the new one (last picture) but I know they came from France. In the old robot (first two pictures) we used two servos to steer each wheel and the NPC motors to drive.
