I'm not in any way trying to change the policy regarding owl pictures on this website, but seriously, what is the big deal? How are O RLY pictures any different than other STFU and owned pictures that people paste in? The only difference is an owl in the background. I understand that many people don't think owl pictures are funny...but news flash -- 99.99% of the rest of posts aren't funny either.

I think it's ridiculous to try and uphold a certain level of professionalism on a site like this...has anyone actually read this stuff? Half the time I can't even make out what people are saying on here because the spelling and grammar are so terrible. It makes my eyes hurt. And when I can make out what people are saying, 75% of the time the subject relates to people arguing, many times in an attempt to make a point they know nothing about. And that's okay...this is just a for-fun website. But that's a two way street -- if we're going to make it okay for people to spell like fifth graders and ramble about who has better magic cards and argue if we should call it a dorm or a "residential hall," then certainly an owl here and there is understandable.

Owl pictures only become a "problem" when someone goes off about how terrible they are and how forbidden it is to post them on seek. The more you tell someone not to do something, the more they are going to do it out of spite. If people didn't get so bent out of shape every time an owl picture popped up, we'd probably only see one every once in a while.

Besides, it's not like seek is something precious that we have to preserve and keep clean...they are freaking pictures of owls. Who really cares? It's just a forum.

Other than that, I believe I speak for everyone when I express gratitude for the hard work behind this website. Despite what I said above, this site can be pretty useful.

I have no idea why I just typed this. If you want to flame me I don't really give a shit. I'll just know you're bored.

Threads such as: "teh fod @ hAvner sinTer wsa rly Sh1tty t0da!" are apparently damned serious, and semi-humorous pictures of owls detract are not appriopriate for such dramatic topics.

Damned freedom of speech, messing up the internet.

The problem is when people abuse it and post pictures of the owls everywhere. There's a difference between posting the occasional owl picture and spamming it everywhere

/me lights jeff on fire

the owls never really bothered me, and i dont think this would have happend if it werent for some jackass getting off on doing what he did.. i understand that when someone abuses something that it gets removed... like for the most part ac posting was removed bc people were abusing it... now only registered members can post anonymously... so atleast the admin know who it was....

when people go outta their way to abuse something.. that something is usually removed or restricted heavily..

oh and as for my grammer and spelling, you know me perty well and you know i have problems with it.. even when trying to listen or read i have problems.. so dont expect me to imporve much :)... and for grammer.. well i suck at it too, gave up since i cant spell any ways.

/me * puts jeff out..... then relights him

How many owl posts are we talking here, anyway? I haven't seen any threads being spammed by owl photos.

all the owl posts have probably been removed. I never saw any of them myself, but now it sucks for us. Time to start the search for a new woodland creature.

There were posts in every section of the forums that contained massive amounts of owls. It was only displayed for about 5 mins or so
