so it's past time for me to register for classes for next semester. joeSS isn't working, so i can't get in to do anything. for as often as there are problems with the various IT services here, it kinda makes you re-evaluate how much the educational value of this school is worth.

thanks umr IT.

Oops... I haven't done that yet either. Damn. :oops:

Anyway, were we supposed to get an email saying when we were supposed to register or what? I never found out.

Look at it this way. If you can't register, than other people can't register and your classes won't get any fuller.

And bitching about it on a forum for students is going to solve the problem?

I think it is your job to log onto Joe'SS and view your enrollment appointment for the correct session.

@Robertd

Are all of the IT personel UMR alum? Is the whole school the IT department? This doesn't make me re-evaluate my educational value at all. I thought you were graduated anyway...

Posted before reading. :D

EDIT: In any case, I just got on Joe'SS and searched for classes. All but two of the ones in which I was gonna register are closed, but I couldn't find an enroll button for the ones that were open.

Fuck you. If you can't provide any useful comments, then don't comment at all. We all know you love reslife and they can never, ever do anything wrong. I bet you wouldn't be so passionate about reslife if they fucked you over.

In "Enrollment Dates" it lists your time to try to enroll. Make sure to switch the term to spring semester.

Also, I don't think UMR IT manages Joe'SS. The server, for one, is somewhere outside of the UMR network, and when I bugged them about fixing some HTML/CSS crud that was screwing up the finances page in Firefox, they send they'd forward it to another IT dept on another campus, Columbia I think.

So really, UM-Columbia's IT is sucking this time.

LuvMyTreefrogs: In addition to what kevintb said, you'll need to meet with your advisor to fill out an agreement and have them lift the advising hold on your account.

Guess you never got this e-mail, by the way...
