If you see any of those yellow signs for free food at dairy queen, ignore them. (Preferably, take them down.) Citi wants you to sign up for a credit card to get your meal. I'm pretty sure they've done this before at a couple other restaurants. Just FYI.

(Don't be stupid enough to sign up for the card.)

 capitalists...

I went there to grab some dessert. I was amazed at how many people were applying for credit cards for food. At the time I was told it was a survey or something by some of the students there.

Oh well. I got my ice cream and got out. Kids, credit cards are bad mm-kay?

I did the one for DQ last semester. I used a mispelled last name and a slightly different SSN. Got my DQ and got out.

They sent me a credit card in the mail and I just called them and said I didn't want it, and they said alright, no questions asked and no charges.

Wait, you used a wrong SSN and they STILL sent you a credit card that would have worked if one tried? That is reassuring...

I used to do that, I had a fake name and a fake SSN memorized. I always sent the mail to one of the lounges in TJ. Supposedly they threw away the mail that went to those rooms, but the front desk workers found real credit cards in that mail.

Well the signs say that you have to fill out a "student survey" ... that does not speak of credit card application to me on first glance. Also, were those signs approved by TJ? I saw no stamp.

Anyway, there are plenty of idiots I'm sure that sold their information for a cheeseburger. Sad.

Maybe I'll fill one out, putting my address as a bathroom. That sounds like fun.

It's probably not Citi directly. My bet is that the guy doing it gets $100+ for each student that receives a card...
