so... how bad do these i-spot machines suck?

Can they do anything besides surf the web? My biggest complaint is the awful keyboards. For some reason my fingers hate them with a passion.

they're SO freaking slow too! i could walk back to my room, get my laptop, and return with a far superior machine in the time it takes me to connect on those damn things.

So far the only complaint that i have is that they arent hooked up to the printers in the clc's of their respective buildings. Sometimes i wanna just print off a couple notes or misc. information for a class if the clc is full or closed for a class or something.

yea im not a huge fan.. they cant do shit.. their slow.. and well yea not even an accessable usb port..

if there just gonna be for getting on the web.. then we shouldt have to log into em. and they should just be free for use

I don't know about the not logging in part, because if they're completely public use computers some moron is going to leave their information up on one of them and a lawsuit will ensue. I like the premise (and yes, I have used them to check quick things), but I think they should be booths with a little chair (i.e. normal keyboard and mouse) for a little added functionality.

They weren't bad before they installed the kiosk software onto them. Idiots leave them logged in all the time, which gives me access to their email.

the kiosk software renders them less than useless.
it is possible to crash sitekiosk and start explorer.

I love the one in CE (and other buildings to, but CE is best example) that is literally 10ft from the computer lab.....I just crack up at first, but then I realise my money paid for that stupidity
