Are you one of the many students in Rolla who is saddened by the lack of a White Castle? Well the wait is over! The UMR student organization "TIES" (Technical Innovators and Entrepreneurs Society) has started a program where delicious White Castles will be picked up from the nearest restaurant and delivered to Rolla during certain times this semester. No more frozen burgers to hold you over!
On a side note, if you would like to be kept informed of the Whitey's sale times, please join the facebook group "Advocates For a White Castle In Rolla", or send an email to TIES@UMR.EDU to be put on our notification list.
Darn, you got my hopes up. I thought you were going to tell me same savvy investor was going to open a White Castle in Rolla. Not that I would not take you up on the offer of semi-fresh whiteys apparently delivered "free"...
Too bad they tore down the HR building, you could have sold them there and got sued... lol

Thanks!
How far is the 'nearest restaurant'? I'd like the burgers, but not if they've been sitting in a box for an hour by the time I get them.

They'll be kept warm on the trip down. I believe the closest White Castle is in Eureka.
I just feel sorry for the car that will be transporting these strong smelling delicacies. Come to think of it, what would it be like to drive for 45 minutes with hundreds of burgers in your car?

I brought a Crave Case down to Rolla from Eureka, it only had thirty cheese burgers in it. I put them in the trunk due to the smell and still my car had the fumes for about a week.

Even more reason to appreciate the free delivery offered by TIES
I worked at a White Castle over the summer, called their hotline and suggested someone put a WC here since it is a college town and we actually have people go out of their way to deliver, but all I got in reply was an e-mail saying that they "appreciated my input but White Castle needs to go through a huge process etc. etc. of qualified people" and stuff.

It's a small hamburger with a regular pickle and diced onions on it. it also serves as a laxative for some folks. It'd be like eating Chartwell's, only delicious.
