FYI, you'll need your social security card, a recent bank statement, and your birth certificate.

Missouri sucks.

they asked you for a bank statement? I don't think that is necessary. At least it wasn't when I got my CDL.

They need a proof of residency, or something like that. A bank statement is one of the ways you can do it, I believe. I used a utility bill.

Speaking of the DMV....does anyone know if I can renew my plates for a car registered in St. Louis county at the Rolla DMV? I have all the paperwork, but being different counties, I'm not sure if I can do it here or not.

From St. Louis? Then probably not; You do not need to get emissions testing here, so you might have to drive up to St. Louis county to get a emissions test. But, if you have ALL the paper work, you might be able to...

I had emissions and inspection last year, and you only need it every 2 years

Along the same lines, I need a safety inspection on my car. Anyone have recomendations for shops that can do this? Have my emissions done.

Any of the car dealers in town should be able to do that. And I'm sure Firestone can too. It's the same price everywhere so at least no one can really screw you over.

It's the same price everywhere, but I like Zane's garage on 63. No hassle, no appointment needed, and only took about 3 minutes.
