Been there, twice, wasn't worth the gas. It's this tiny little graveyard with the most recent graves being from the 1960s-70s. In fact, the legend came about because the caretakers were tired of college students from a certain school going up there for keggers, so a spooky tale was invented to drive the people away.
There are much better places to go if you want to try and scare yourself. There is this one "ghost town" that is relatively nearby to Rolla. And by ghost town, I mean dead town, the last time the town had people living in it, wagons were the main mode of transportation. In order to get down to the town, you need a vehicle with 4-wheel drive and preferably a person walking in front of your car to help you avoid massive road hazards. (Town is at the bottom of a 1/2 - 1 mile extremely rustic road). None of my chickenshit friends ever had the balls to go further than the entrance to the town, so we still don't really know how the town looks. Town is called Mayfield or something like that, been over a year sine I've been there.

Where is Mayfield? I'd be interested in going there. If the road is bad and only a mile long, hiking in would be easy. A quick search of Topozone brings up a Mayfield in Bollinger County. How do you get to this town?
I'll go (to mayfield that is, not some shitty graveyard)! just give me a time and place.
Loser.
